Located in Northwest Austin off of Research Boulevard (Highway 183), Oak Forest is a community with approximately 775 homes. Development of the area started in the 70s and continued through the 80s and included about 15 custom builders. Oak Forest rests on the edge of the gently rolling of Great Hills and many homes have large trees and lots. The majority of homes are a short walk away from Oak View park, a park maintained by the city of Austin, which includes hike and bike trails, a playground and tennis courts.
